Paris Saint Germain left back Maxwell expressed his frustration at his side’s poor display and admitted Barcelona deserved to go through.
Barcelona beat PSG 2-0 last night to wrap up a 5-1 aggregate win and dump Maxwell and his teammates out at the quarter final stage for the second successive season.
“It’s frustrating because we always have that ambition to pass. It is the dream of the club, ours too. But we ran into an impressive team. We did our best but it was lower than Barça. Is -this easier to digest than last season? Yes, because in previous years, we deserved more. Not this time.”
Paris Saint Germain now turn their attention to their domestic league where they are currently joint top with Lyon.
