Roberto Firmino says Brazil are a team reborn and are now all set for this summer’s Copa América after his strike earned the Selecao victory over Chile.
Firmino, 23, appears to have earned himself a starting role after impressing in the false-9 role. He told SporTV: “Times are good. Brazil is rebuilding itself. The game against Chile was very difficult. Their players are very quick and they’re always on the move. Chile will be a tough opponent for anyone, but we deserved the victory. We are now well prepared for the Copa América. I’ve made some good impressions for the ream and I hope that I will be able to return many more times. But we must congratulate the whole group for the dedication we have all shown in these two games.”
