New Barcelona defender Douglas admitted the club were disappointed with their result against Malaga and revealed how difficult it was on Wednesday.

The 24-year-old was given his debut by Luis Enrique on Wednesday and impressed before being substituted in the 73rd minute.

The former Sao Paulo ace was quoted by Football Espana, he said: “It was difficult to play against Malaga as they had a lot of men behind the ball but I’m happy to have taken a point.

“It’s not a bad result but we are Barcelona and always have to take something positive from any game.”

Douglas went on to insist that although Barcelona wanted all three points, because they were away from home, a point isn’t a bad result.

He added: “We wanted all three points, yet I suppose one is quite good when you are playing away from home.”
