Rio club Fluminense and Gremio drew at the Maracana. For both teams, the result was disappointing.
In front of a tiny crowd at the Maracana, Fluminense and Gremio failed to find the net, a result that did nothing to help the aspirations of both clubs. The encounter was also a meeting between Fred and the former Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari.
Gremio keeper Grohe made a number of excellent saves to keep a clean sheet, while Fluminense were saved by the bar.
Gremio are fourth with 40 points, Fluminense are sixth with 37 points.
