Former Brazil international Roberto Carlos believes Real Madrid’s Galácticos give their opposition extra motivation.
The Sivasspor Head Coach, who used to play for Real, notes that he recognised teams trying harder when facing the Champions League holders during his time with the club.
“At that time it wasn’t good because all the teams were 100% both in and out of Santiago Bernabeu,” he told Marca.
“This will be more complicated than last season.”
Real Madrid have spent big on the likes of Toni Kroos and James Rodriguez this summer to try and improve on last season’s impressive showing.
