Former Brazil international Roberto Carlos believes Real Madrid need to be patient with their new signings.
The Champions League holders have spent big on the likes of James Rodriguez and Toni Kroos, but Carlos warns that they will need time to adapt.
"[Florentino Perez] is signing players of the highest level which is very important," he told an interview with Marca.
"Now is time to adapt and you have to be patient with the players who have come in.
"Opposition teams will want to beat Madrid even more, for all its history and success.
"Madrid have a lot to prepare this season because this season will be more difficult with everything they’ve got."
