Palmeiras loanee Bruno Cesar is back in Brazil and raring to go at his new club as he prepares for a first game on home soil since leaving Corinthians in 2011.

The 25 year-old, at the Sao Paulo club on loan from Al-Ahli for the 2014 season, has struggled for consistency since leaving his homeland in the same year he won the first of two Brazil caps.

“I need to play more, I need to pick up the pace. This is important because there are big games coming up,” Cesar told Lancenet, “The important thing is to talk to the coaching staff and come to an agreement, but I want to play.”

Bruno left Brazil for Benfica in 2011 but a disappointing spell led to his Middle Eastern move, where he got little playing time. At Corinthians, he won the Campeonato Brasileiro in the season he left for Portugal.
