Inter Milan midfielder Hernanes has vowed to continue the form that he showed at Lazio that persuaded the Nerazurri to part with €20 million for his services in January.

The 28 year-old has made 23 appearances for Brazil since making his debut in 2008, scoring two goals into the bargain. Speaking with globoesporte.com, he said: “I am very confident in the work we’ve been doing.”

“I know that Scolari is a guy who analyzes everything. He is very observant, I’m sure he noticed my work. Now I need to keep my work going, keep doing what I was doing at Lazio and showing my football.”

“I’m not worried, I really want to be at the World Cup.”

Hernanes’ chances appear to be thin on the ground with coach Luiz Felipe Scolari leaving him out of his latest Brazil squad for a friendly with South Africa on March 5.
