Brazil’s manager Luiz Felipe Scolari has urged Brazilian fans to support the national team against England.

Brazilians fans often boo off the national team in home games, as the connection between the team and the supporters has decreased due to the lack of games in Brazil and lack of players from domestic clubs. The national team’s poor results further complicates the situation.

Scolari thinks this situation can change, he told reporters during the pre-game press conference: “The Rio de Janeiro fans gave up a warmful reception, should treat us well during the competition. Otherwise, it will be hard.

I hope the Brazilian fans understand those players are not playing for the clubs anymore, they are playing for the national team. It’s not my team, it’s our team. I hope Brazilian fans understand that. The fans will be present, supporting Brazil, not this or that team.”

Felipão admits Brazil’s results, he said: “We haven’t beaten some of the most important national teams for some time. If we give something to the fans, they will give something back.

We may start recovering the team’s image for the Confederations Cup. It’s important to us as it is to the English, it’s important to give us confidence and peace of mind. it won’t be the end of the road for anyone, but it’s important.”
