At a Brazil training session in Gávea on Friday afternoon, Luiz Felipe Scolari revealed his possible starting eleven to face England on Sunday at the Maracanã.

Julio César will take the place between the sticks, with Daniel Alves, Thiago Silva, David Luiz and Marcelo forming the back four.

A midfield consisting of Fernando, Paulinho, and Oscar, was on show in training, playing behind a forward three of Lucas, Neymar, and Fred.

In the training session right winger Lucas was asked to track back and help the midfield when defending, with Neymar given a licence to wonder from his position on the left hand side in attack

Fred will be playing in the centre of attack with Oscar in the hole behind him. Fernando and Paulinho will play the holding positions in the centre of midfield, with the Corinthians man likely to be the more attacking of the two.

Whilst there are still forty-eight hours until kick off on Sunday evening, it’s probable that this will be the line-up Scolari chooses, barring any injuries between now and then.
