Rodrygo was impressed by teammate Toni Kroos’ outstanding performance in Real Madrid’s 2-2 draw against Bayern Munich in the Champions League this week. The German was impeccable in midfield, regulating the game and distributing the ball with precision. Despite his 34 years, Kroos has demonstrated that he is still one of the best midfielders in the world with his vision of the game and his impeccable technique.

The young Brazilian Rodrygo was particularly impressed by his teammate’s masterclass. After the meeting, he was full of praise for Kroos. “I really don’t have words to describe how good he is,” he said. “When I play with him, I understand why he is considered one of the best of his generation. It’s a privilege to be able to learn alongside him.” Rodrygo admits that he greatly admires the German’s talent and consistency at the highest level for so many years.

Beyond his impressive technique, it is Kroos’ leadership and vision of the game that Rodrygo appreciates the most. According to him, the German directs the game perfectly and constantly anticipates the opponent’s movements, which greatly facilitates the task of his teammates. Rodrygo hopes he can continue to benefit from these qualities for a long time to come, because at only 21 years old, he knows he has a lot to learn from an exceptional player like Kroos.

Moreover, the Brazilian really wants his eldest to extend the adventure at Real Madrid. “I sincerely hope that the club will manage to keep him with us for years to come,” he said. Kroos reaches the end of his contract next June and no decision has yet been made regarding his future.
