Former Flamengo midfielder Felipe Melo has admitted that he could play for any club except Flamengo’s arch-rivals Vasco.
He is in Brazil for his vacation and has already been linked with a move to São Paulo, although his high salary is deemed to be a problem.
Felipe Melo talked with Sportv about his situation, he said: “My full value is too high for any Brazilian club, Juventus would demand too much.
“They wouldn’t want less than 6 or 7 million Euros, so the values are too high. But if I am to return to Brazil, I of course would have to reduce my wages.”
Melo reaffirmed his love for Flamengo, he added: “Everyone knows how I feel about Flamengo, and I thank the São Paulo fans’ kindness, they sent messages on twitter.
“I would negotiate with any club except Vasco, I would never play there as I am a Flamengo fan.
“Juventus have good options already, but many good teams are already interested, I read on the papers about Manchester City offer but for now I don’t want to worry about this.
“If you think about moving to a different club and country, you end up getting worried.”
