Saint-Etienne’s Brandão has dismissed notions of a feud between him and Paris Saint-Germain captain Thiago Silva following their 2-2 draw earlier in March.
The two Brazilians had a running battle during the game, as les Verts came from 2-0 down to salvage a point against the Ligue 1 leaders.
Reports in France suggested that Brandão behaved too aggressively towards his compatriot but the striker has strongly denied any claims that the match has resulted in a deeper disagreement between the pair.
“I’ve done nothing to Thiago Silva,” Brandão stressed to Le10sport.com.
“There is no problem between us. I have also not had to apologise to him. It’s easy to criticise me on television when you have never played football. I am the one on the pitch.”
The 32-year-old went on to insist that his combative style is an important part of his game, having scored 10 goals in 21 league appearances this season.
He added: “I am a warrior who always wants to win.
“I was with the Ukrainian champions, Shakhtar Donetsk, and in France with Olympique de Marseille. I play with humility. Follow my football and my work. Anyone who criticizes me had better shut up.”
