Botafogo vice-captain Clarence Seedorf has admitted that he is hoping to become the head coach of Milan one day.
The 36-year-old Dutchman left the San Siro last summer, after spending a decade with the Rossoneri, and signed a two-year contract with the Brazilian outfit.
However, Seedorf, who won his first title with Botafogo on Sunday, has admitted that he could return to the Serie A club as a tactician in the future.
He told Sky Sport Italia: “When I left last summer, it was a ‘see you soon’ rather than a ‘goodbye’.
“It’s true, I’ve always thought that I could become a coach when the time came to end my playing career.”
Should the midfielder take the Milan hot-seat in the near future then he could find himself working with young stars Stephan El Shaarawy and Mario Balotelli.
Seedorf added: “Stephan is showing that he is a great attacker. He has a good head on his shoulders and excellent talent. He needs to continue on this path.
“Balotelli, meanwhile, just has to perfect himself. In some cases, he has to correct some things – like his character.
“He has great technical ability and excellent margins of improvement.”
