Chelsea midfielder Oscar has credited the influence of team-mates David Luiz and Ramires for his quick adaptation to the pace of the English Premier League.

Oscar, 21, arrived at Chelsea from Internacional last summer and has played an important role for the Blues in what has been a difficult year for the West London club.

The Brazil international believes that his ease of transition to the Premier League has been greatly eased by the presence of his international colleagues.

“It was very important for me to have them here, and my adaptation has been so much quicker because of them being here,” Oscar told the club’s official website.

“They helped me so much, and off the pitch we are good friends. We get along very well and I am sure this will continue throughout our careers here.”

Originally Oscar was one of four Brazilians at Stamford Bridge with youngster Lucas Piazon at the club. However, the Brazil Under-17 international has been on loan at Spanish side Malaga since January.
