Brasileirão champions Fluminense were held to a disappointing 1-1 draw by Chile’s Huachipato after a Fred penalty was cancelled out by a late goal from Nicolas Nunez.

Fred fired Fluminense into the lead in the 30th minute from the penalty spot and Fluminense looked comfortable in their lead despite missing a host of chances.

In the second half, Flumiense continued to be profligant and were eventually made to pay by Francisco Arrue as the Chilean slalomed around two defenders and unleashed a shot that was parried by the keeper and Nunez tucked away the rebound.

Fluminense still lead their group on seven points, one ahead of fellow Brazilians Grêmio and Huachipato lie in third with four points.
