Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes is looking likely to leave the North London club this January with AC Milan and two unnamed Dutch clubs monitoring the player’s situation.

Gomes, 31, has become something of an outcast at White Hart Lane in the past 18 months and has fallen way down the pecking order.

He is keen to move on from Tottenham and the club will not stand in his way if the right offer comes along, whether it be a loan move or a permanent switch.

The Brazilian moved to England from Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven in June 2008 for £7.8 million after impressing in the Netherlands where he won four consecutive Eredivisie titles, setting a number of records along the way.

Gomes suffered in the early part of his career in England, making a number of mistakes, but eventually found some form and became the number one under Harry Redknapp until Brad Friedal was signed in the summer of 2011.

After losing his place to Friedal, Gomes suffered even more by dropping down to fourth choice, even behind former Chelsea keeper Carlo Cudicini, after the arrival of Hugo Loris last summer.
