Valencia striker Jonas has praised Paris Saint-Germain defender Thiago Silva ahead of their Champions League quarter-final clash.
The Spanish side have been pitted against the Ligue 1 leaders in the final 16 of the European competition.
Jonas, who scored three goals against Lille during the group stage, has complimented PSG’s defence following the draw and reserved some special praise for fellow Brazilian Thiago Silva.
The 28 –year-old said: “Their defence is practically Brazilian with Thiago Silva, Alex and Maxwell, who are very good players.
“I’ve faced Thiago when we were in Brazil and I trained with him several times during international selection.
“He is a powerful guy and very fast in the recovery of the ball.”
The two quarter-final legs will take place on February 12 in Spain and March 6 at the Parc de Princes next year.
