The Brazilian scored a fantastic goal in Tottenham’s win at Fulham on Saturday, powering the ball past Mark Schwarzer in goal from 35-yards with the keeper only able to palm it against the post and into the net.
Defoe told Absolute Radio: “He’s one of the biggest personalities in the changing rooms. The other day I come in and he was just sitting there with his guitar singing, with no audience.
“I said ‘Sandro, what you doing mate?’ He’s got a good voice to be fair and he’s a fantastic player, he’s strong and he’s done well for us and that.”
The Spurs star has made an impression on the British public with his singing and guitar skils after a Daily Mail article highlighting his Youtube efforts.
Sandro is one of our 30 nominees for the 2012 Samba Gold Trophy, which is awarded to the best performing Brazilian playing in Europe.
