Paris Saint-Germain defender Thiago Silva has admitted that he has been surprised by the struggles of former club AC Milan this season.

The Brazilian centre-back moved to the Parc des Princes for a fee of €42 million this summer, following three years with the Rossoneri.

Silva has admitted that during his time in Italy and before he never saw the club struggle like this.

“It’s not easy to judge from the outside, but I’ve never seen a Milan side like this,” he told the Gazzetta dello Sport.

“It is certainly not Milan-like to lose six of their first 12 League games. I hope they can pick themselves up.”

Silva was one of the many big name players to leave the Diavolo this summer, but he has revealed he is still a fan of the Serie A side.

He added: “I’ll always be a supporter of the Rossoneri because I was really happy at that club.”

Milan are joint twelfth in the table and face a tricky trip to Napoli this weekend.
