Chelsea stars Ramires and David Luiz have backed fellow teammate John Obi Mikel and are asking the club to support their claims concerning referee Mark Clattenburg according to reports in England.

The Sun claims that the players have told the club that they should stand by them after they stood by John Terry in the Anton Ferdinand case.

The tabloid also reports a ‘split’ in the Chelsea camp, claiming that some Blues players are ‘sceptical about the shock allegations, and pressure is mounting on the club to physically prove the remarks were made.’

The Sun also state that the club is yet to lodge an offical complaint with the Metropolitan Police and is considering their options in light of the recent rulings concerning the Terry and Ferdinand incident.

Clattenburg is accused of making racially abusive remarks to Nigerian midfielder Mikel in the Premier League match between Chelsea and Manchester United on October 28.
