This summer former Shakhtar Donetsk striker Brandão swapped Olympique de Marseille for AS Saint-Etienne and has been in great form for his new club so far. However, the player is still angry at the treatment he received at the Stade Vélodrome and pointed his finger at the club’s former president Jean-Claude Dassier for ruining his time at the club.
Brandão, 32, moved to Marseille in 2009 after 7 years in the Ukraine but the move never really worked out, with the player returning to Brazil on seperate occasions for loan spells with Cruzeiro and Gremio.
The player was accused of rape last year and, although he has since been cleared due to lack of evidence, believes this was one of the factors for things turning sour at Marseille, blaming former president Jean-Claude Dassier for alienating him and saying that before pointing fingers at him, people should look at themselves in the mirror.
