Manchester United midfielder Anderson admits that he is expecting a tough game against Newcastle on Sunday, as the two sides meet in the Premier League.

Anderson, 24, scored past the Magpies in the Capital One Cup last month and is hopeful of figuring in Sunday’s game, as the Red Devils look to keep the pressure on Chelsea and Manchester City at the top of the table.

The former Porto midfielder, though, expects a tough challenge off what he describes as a “dangerous” Newcastle side.

“Newcastle have some very good players and we know they can be dangerous if the ball’s high up the pitch,” the Brazilian told manutd.com

“We must try to keep the ball and not give away many fouls or throw-ins because if they counter-attack, they can score.”

Anderson also attempted to play down suggestions that his fitness levels are not as high as they could be: “I feel good, I feel 100 per cent fit. The boss is giving me opportunities to play and I am fit and ready for the next one.”
