The 34-year-old midfielder is currently plying his trade in Brazil with Fluminense, and although his contract with the club ends in December, he has the option to sign on for another year.
”I have already decided that I will play for one more year, until the end of 2013,” Deco told Globoesporte.
The former Barcelona playmaker also admitted that he has received offers from a number of clubs but his intention is to play out his career at Fluminense.
”I’ve had offers from other clubs, but I don’t want to leave Fluminense,” he said. ”My relationship with the club continues to grow. I have really identified with the club.
”I enjoy being here and I feel like everyone at the club are also happy with my presence here. That’s why I can extend my contract and end my career at Fluminense.”
Deco has made 55 appearances for Fluminense since joining the Rio de Janeiro club from Chelsea in 2010.
