The former-Fiorentina star, who has been out of work since the 2010 World Cup, had a remarkably good record as manager of the Seleção, even if his playing style was not always well received in Brazil.

Now with Edoardo Reja’s reign as Lazio manager seemingly at an end following a disappointing campaign and Europa League exit to Atlético Madrid, Dunga is a front-runner for the job, alongside Swindon boss Paulo di Canio.

Dunga is currently in Rio Grande do Sul following the recent death of his father, but would no doubt be enticed by the opportunity to return to full-time management in a country that he called home for many years.
