How do you fit into the system of Andre Villas-Boas?

He plays with three forwards and I would fit in on the left, or right. Here they use me as a central-attacking midfielder at youth level, but I find it hard to get move up in that position.

Has Villas-Boas talked to you about how you would like to play?

He not asked me how I like to play, but I think he already knows from the reserve games he has followed. As we are Portuguese and Brazilian, it is easy for the contact language.

Has English been a problem since you arrived?

No, I don"t think so. I lived in Curitiba when I was younger and already took English lessons, and I"m doing so here, too. Chelsea provide me with a teacher every Wednesday and Thursday at dawn. I always go to the lessons, of one hour, or an hour and a half, and it is relaxed. Now I have improved, I can communicate well with everyone. When I got here it was not a very big problem, as I was able to speak the basics, so language was not a problem.

How was your period as a guest of David Luiz?

When I came, I was in the team hotel [at Stamford Bridge] because my parents were here. Then I moved to his house. It was a great way to mature and learn new things. We were always together, trained together, went back, played video games, went out to dinner. It was very good.

This year"s Olympics are in London, and while you"re atill young enough to play in Rio in 2016, do you think you"ve got a chance of a call-up?

If I had to guess which, it would be the one in Brazil, of course. Until the beginning of the year, with the Olympics coming soon and having not played, it seemed hopeless. But, if I have the opportunity to debut and play well, it would be great, but I think the chances are small. We are already in February and the Olympics is only five, six months away. Some players have been active for much longer than I have and are in front of me, so I think it is hard.

Your contract with Chelsea runs until 2017. How do you plan your career? Would you mind being loaned?

What I want is to stay here andhave a chance to play. If that needs me to go on-loan to a club in England for six months, or for a season, then no problem. It is normal in Europe, young players do not get many chances in large teams and clubs loan players to smaller sides to gain experience and adapt to the pace of play. I think it is good, it"s good that youngsters are playing in the Premier League. A young man grows so much from this experience and if I am loaned, I do not see any problem. It is part of my development.
