Romario"s son is an 18-year-old attacking midfielder who currently plays for Vasco"s youth team.

"I will try and take my son there [Barcelona]," the former Brazilian international told El Pais.

"This week I will speak with the president and Pep [Guardiola]."

Furthermore, Romario revealed he still retains a great affection for Barça, and claims his former club still means a lot to him. 

"If I had to go back and play professional football again, I wouldn"t think twice: I’d want to play be for Barcelona," the 46-year-old said.

"Barcelona meant a lot to me. I am thankful to Barcelona. They opened the door for me to become the world"s best player and the best player in Europe."
