The Rubro-Negro had been in protracted discussions with the management company over the non-payment of the star’s wages for a period of five months, following a dispute over the terms of the deal.

The club have now decided that enough is enough and will pay the full terms of the player’s contract by themselves, whilst the matter is settled in court.

The deal only further strengthens the former-Milan and Barcelona player’s influence within the club, which has been growing in recent times.
