The former Arsenal left-back is no longer considered to be in coach Émerson Leão’s plans following the arrival of Bruno Cortês from Botafogo.
São Paulo were willing to let Juan go out on loan to Santos for the 2012 season, but its understood the deal collapsed because the player only wanted to sign a three-year contract with the Vila Belmiro outfit.
”Our wing-backs for this season will be Cortês and Henrique Miranda,” Lopes told Globoesporte.
”There are other clubs interested (in Juan). Vasco is one of them. We can try and talk to Santos again. Let’s see what we can do.”
