In front of an excited Grêmio crowd, Ladjeadense produced the first giant killing in the 2012 Gaucho championship. The Alvi-azul’s opened the scoring moments before the referee blew for half time when Ramos managed to lose his marker to head Ladjeadense in to the lead before Tata added a second straight after the interval.
After kicking off the Gaúcho championship with a 1-0 win against Novo Hamburgo on Wednesday, it was to be expected that International’s second string team would do the job against Avenue. However the Colorado let a two goal lead slip with Avenue netting three goals in the second half to clinch the win against the Gaucho giants.
