Earlier on in the week, Cruzeiro’s sporting director, Dimas Fonseca, revealed the Mineiro club were willing to offer Manchester City their highly rated youngster, Leo Bonatini, in an exchange deal for Roque Santa Cruz.

Despite Cruzeiro’s interest, the former Blackburn forward has confirmed he isn’t planning on a move in the January transfer window, insisting he’s happy to fulfil his commitment with Betis.

”I have made a committed with Betis. I have a challenge here and everything else is irrelevant,” Santa Cruz said.

”I heard something about the interest of the Brazilian team Cruzeiro, but I’m happy and I want to stay at Betis.”

Santa Cruz’ loan deal with Real Betis runs until June 2012.
