Abelairas has been without a club for the past six months, having been bought out of his contract in Buenos Aires by an investment group who are now looking to relocate the player.
The move is being seen as a massive coup in the Brazilian media, with Abelairas, 26, being described as the player who kept Darío Conca on the bench in Argentina.
