Aware that Walter Montillo wants to play in the 2012 Copa Libertadores, Corinthians’ President Roberto de Andrade believes that Cruzeiro will eventually sell their Argentine midfielder.
”All the factors are favourable. BMG have participation on the player’s rights and they want Montillo to come and work with us. Montillo wants to play for Corinthians,” Andrade explained to Rádio Bandeirantes.
Cruzeiro are demanding €15 million for their star midfielder and so far Corinthians have only offered €10 million.
Despite not meeting the Raposa’s asking price, Andrade is confident an agreement will be reached just after the New Year.
”We are going to reach an agreement with Cruzeiro, I believe it.”
”We are going to wait until next week, after the New Year. At this time of the year not much happens anyway.”
