Jair Ventura Filho, better known as Jairzinho, is the latest Brazilian legend to vote for the 2011 Samba Gold Trophy.

The ex-Botafogo midfielder had no doubts about who he thinks was the best Brazilian player to play in Europe in 2011, calling Barcelona’s full-back, Daniel Alves, the best Brazilian player in the Seleção.

”A proud vote for our full-back, Daniel Alves,” Jair said in an interview with Sambafoot.

”He is the one that is standing out the most in Europe, if not the only one. He’s the only Brazilian in Europe who has maintained a great performance and because of that, he was nominated for the FIFA player of the year. The best Brazilian player in the world is the right back of Barcelona.”

Jairzinho’s second choice was AC Milan playmaker, Robinho and his third, Thiago Silva, who also plays for the Rossoneri
