Flamengo’s President, Patricia Amorim, is believed to be a big fan of the Cruzeiro midfielder, and hopes to persuade the twenty seven year old to join the Carioca giants for the 2012 season.
Flamengo are expected to seek financial support to bring Montillo to Rio de Janeiro, as the Minas Gerias club would only be willing to sell their star play-maker for €15 million.
Cruzeiro currently own 60% of Montillo’s economic rights, with the other 40% belonging to Brazilian bank, BMG.
