First half goals from Tottenham’s Sandro and Lazio’s Hernanes, was enough to give Brazil the victory in Libreville.

The Selecao head coach felt the match served it’s purpose and liked what he saw from his side.

Despite not calling up several of his first team regulars, Menezes handed out debut’s to Diego Alves, Bruno Cesar, Willian, Dudu, Alex Sandro and Kleber.

Speaking to press after the game, Menezes said, ”sometimes you question yourself about the game, before you worry about the state of the pitch, which was bad, but the match itself was good. The Selecao played well, creating many opportunities to score and we scored two goals, but we could of scored two or three more.”
