The Sao Paulo born midfielder announced just before the decisive match against Rangers that he wanted to leave the club.

Figueiredo said that he wanted to move back to Brazil because his family is homesick. “I don’t want to say too much right now ahead of a massive game in Glasgow but family is the most important thing to me. It’s my personal life and that is vital to me,” he said. “I would prefer not to talk about it now because we have our most important match of the season coming up. It is crucial for Swedish football too. To get a team in the Champions League would be really something.”
