It had recently been reported that Luiz Felipe Scolari’s side were keen to resign Henrique, who left them to join Barca in 2008, and now the deal has been confirmed on the Spanish giants’ official website.
“FC Barcelona have reached an agreement to loan Henrique to Palmeiras for one season,” said a statement on FCBarcelona.com. “The Brazilian club assumes 100 per cent of the rights to the player.”
Henrique, 24, is still to make his official debut for Barcelona despite having been with the side for three years. He spent the last two campaigns on loan to Racing Santander, and before that he spent a season on loan with Bayer Leverkusen.
