The Brazilian Championship is considered one of the toughest in the world by many. This season, the first round of the competition is already scheduled for April 14th. On this day, the current champion Palmeiras will take the field against Vitória, away from home. The match time is yet to be defined by the CBF.

The current champion, in fact, is a São Paulo-based club. In 2023, despite the huge lead opened by Botafogo in the first half of the Brasileirão, Palmeiras managed to achieve good results, especially the historic comeback against Botafogo itself with a 4-3 victory at Nilton Santos, leading them to the title.

It’s worth noting that São Paulo is the state that has won the most Brazilian Championship titles in history. So far, five teams have managed to lift the competition’s trophy. For instance, in the last six editions, the title has stayed in São Paulo three times.

Guarani

The club from Campinas holds the distinction of being the only interior team to win the Brazilian Championship title. The magical year was 1978 when a team that enchanted the country with their football emerged victorious.
