New Manchester City right-back Danilo is relishing the challenge of playing in the Premier League. The Brazilian completed a big money move from Real Madrid this week, just days after the club spent over £50m on Spurs right-back Kyle Walker.
Danilo cannot wait to get started with City and has joined his teammates on their pre-season tour of the USA. He may even make his debut in Thursday’s friendly against his old club. “It’s a big day and a pleasure to be part of this team, I hope to meet the expectations,” Danilo told Mancity.com
“The Premier League is hard to describe, it is a competition I always liked, I always wanted. So I’m very excited to start on 12 August.” Danilo and Walker replace outgoing full-backs Pablo Zabaleta and Bacary Sagna.
Danilo was signed after Guardiola missed out on his first choice, Dani Alves, who performed a u-turn and decided to join Paris Saint Germain instead.
