20-year-old Palmeiras attacker Róger Guedes is being monitored by two Italian clubs.
And the person who confirmed the information was the player"s agent César Botega, in an interview with Italian portal CalcioMercato. The agent also said that Róger Guedes could leave Palmeiras for a fee of €15 million. César Botega revealed that Italian clubs AC Milan and Inter are eyeing the player. He said: “Many clubs have been monitoring him for the past few months, because he has talent. The two clubs [Milan and Inter] showed interest, others also, but for the moment, there"s no official proposal. Palmeiras are yet to define a price, but I believe that, if they were to receive an offer of at least €15 million in the transaction, then there can be a deal."
Botega added that Barcelona"s representatives came to Brazil to monitor Gabriel Jesus and that they had “noticed" Róger Guedes, but denies that the Catalans have a purchase preference on the youngster. He said: “I"ll be honest, Barcelona had come to Brazil to try to get Gabriel Jesus, but of course they realized the qualities of Róger Guedes. However, no agreement was signed, so there is no purchase preference."
Finally, the agent said that Róger knows the interest of the clubs, but he"s not focused on it at the moment. Botega added: “Róger is focused on being a champion with Palmeiras, but he knows the interest of these clubs. He has no preference because they are two big clubs [Inter and Milan], it would be an honor for him."
