Internacional are negotiating the sale of Brazilian national team goalkeeper Álisson, and the situation was revealed by club president Vitório Piffero on Tuesday.
The president says he is still trying to renew the contract of the player, but revealed that there is an on going negotiation with a foreign club. The plan would be to close a deal with a European side and then keep him for some more time at Porto Alegre. Piffero said: “There is a negotiation, but it is not yet closed. If Álisson is out, it will be permanently, and after staying for some more time.”
With a contract valid only until November 2016, the team still seeks an agreement with Álisson’s agent Zé Maria. But according to Piffero, the agent is the one who complicates the negotiations for a renewal. According to UOL Esporte, Juventus are offering over €8 million for Álisson but the player’s interest is to join a club where he can continue playing regularly after a transfer. So, AS Roma are believed to have an advantage despite their offer being €3m less than that of Juventus.
