Neymar will miss the first leg of Barcelona’s Copa del Rey Round of 16 clash against Getafe on Wednesday.
The 21 year-old is suffering with Gastroenteritis and as such is not expected to feature, according to Mundo Deportivo.
Whether Neymar will be fit for Saturday’s match at Atlético de Madrid remains unclear at this stage, with Barcelona yet to put a timescale on how long he will be absent for.
With Neymar unavailable, manager Gerardo Martino has called Xavi into the squad. The veteran midfielder was set to be rested.
