Montpellier captain Vitorino Hilton has previewed his sides clash against Monaco in Ligue 1 and believes Zlatan Ibrahimović is better than Radamel Falcao, who he’ll face at the Stade de la Mosson on Friday night

In an exclusive interview with Sambafoot.com, the Brazilian defender stated that the style of the two heavyweight forwards differ but ultimately feels the Swedish striker is the better player.

“(Falcao) is a different player. Ibra is more complicated… Falcao plays deeper and keeps the ball in the attacking third.

“He is smaller in size to Ibra and isn’t as strong with his passing. Ibra is better than Falcao.”

The 36-year-old won’t just be focusing on Falcao on Friday night though and he highlighted João Moutinho as another quality player MHSC will have to contend with.

“Falcao is a great player, he has shown that at international level but I can not just focus on Falcao.

“They have a lot of quality players like Moutinho for example. In football, you cannot think of one player, you must work together, make the effort collectively.”

MHSC go into this clash with Monaco lurking near the relegation zone in 17th position. Hilton believes the standings will count for little though and is targeting a win.

“17th place does bother us but we have to forget our ranking and play a good match.

“It will be a tough game, Monaco are fighting for the title with Paris Saint-Germain. The objective for us is to start the year with a win.”
