Coritiba"s forward Raúl Ruidíaz has been loaned to Universitario in his native Peru until the end of the year.

The 22-year old player joined Coritiba last year but could never live up to hype, his full wages will be paid by the Peruvian club.

Ruidíaz alleged personal reasons for his lack of focus in games, he told Globo Esporte: “When I returned from vacations I had problems that I tried to forget but I couldn"t. So I talked to the club, that understood my situation. I thank the club for that".

He added that he plans to return to Coritiba: “I want to solve my problems to return with a better head, as I came to Coritiba to succeed. But any person can be in that kind of situation".

He denied that he is leaving the club because he could not adapt, he said “I wasn"t annoyed when I came here, I learned a lot, but I"m glad to return [to Universitario]. I don"t think I had problems to adapt. Before leaving my country, I went to Chile and things were good there. I returned here and I liked the city a lot. I slowly learned much about the language".
