Flamengo’s relationship with agent Carlos Leite is growing once more with news breaking that the business has purchased 17.5% of the economic rights to star youngster Douglas Baggio.

Douglas, 18, split with former agent Alexandre Fagundes at the start of the calender year after terminating his contract that had only been due to end at the end of this year.

Now, under the new agreement, Baggio has sold 17.5% of his economic rights to the agent, while the remainder is split between Flamengo (50%) and MED (32%)

The young forward scored 72 goals in 53 games for the club’s Under-17 side last season before making the step up to Under-20 level for 2013.

The player’s current contract with the club runs until September 2015 but he is yet to be called to the first-team by manager Dorival Júnior.

Leite ups his influence with the club once more under the current directorate, having also been involved in bringing Wallace, Gabriel and Elias to the Gávea.
