It’s understood the 19-year-old could be asked by coach Emerson Leão to lead the Tricolor Paulista whilst club captains Rogério Ceni and Luis Fabiano both recover from their injuries.
However, Lucas believes the captains armband should be given to a defender or a goalkeeper.
”I’m young, I’m only 19. I like to talk and to guide, but I don’t have the profile of a leader, I don’t have it,” the Brazilian international told Globoesporte.
”Let the captains armband be for a defender or a goalkeeper. I will help run and create goals.”
