Five members of the Seleção’s Under-20 World Cup winning side have been called-up, including captain Bruno Uvini and Golden Ball winner Henrique.

The football competition of the Games runs from October 19 to October 28, with Brazil in Group B alongside Costa Rica, Cuba and Argentina.

Their first game is against their old rivals Argentina on October 19. They then face Cuba two days later, and finish the group stage against Costa Rica on October 23.

The Pan American Games are a major multi-sport event in the Americas, with over 6000 athletes from 42 nations competing in 36 different sports.

Brazil squad for the 2011 Pan American Games:

Goalkeepers: Cesar (Flamengo), Douglas Pires (Cruzeiro).

Defenders: Bruno Uvini (Sao Paulo), Frauches (Flamengo), Romario (Internacional), Henrique Miranda (Sao Paulo), Madson (Bahia).

Midfielders: Cidinho (Botafogo), Djair (Coritiba), Felipe Anderson (Santos), Lucas Patinho (Fluminense), Lucas Zen (Botafogo), Misael (Gremio).

Forwards: Felipe Amorim (Goias), Henrique (Sao Paulo), Leandro (Gremio), Rafael (Bahia), Seba (Cruzeiro).
