Liverpool received bad news last week, with Alisson suffering a hamstring injury in training ahead of the Premier League fixture against Brentford. While Jürgen Klopp didn’t provide a return date for the goalkeeper yet, Brazilian national team coach Dorival Júnior claimed Alisson won’t be available for the March international window.

The 31-year-old has already missed the last two games for the Reds, but it looks like they will have to continue relying on Caoimhín Kelleher for a few more weeks. With Alisson predicted to stay on the sidelines by the end of March, Liverpool would have to play at least seven more games without the Brazilian.

The games Alisson could miss for Liverpool

  • Chelsea (Wembley) – Carabao Cup Final – February 25
  • Southampton (H) – FA Cup 5th Round – February 28
  • Nottingham Forest (A) – Premier League – March 2
  • TBC (A) – Europa League Round of 16 – March 7
  • Man City (H) – Premier League – March 10
  • TBC (H) – Europa League Round of 16 – March 14
  • Everton (A) – Premier League – March 17*
  • FA Cup Quarter-Final – March 16/17

Let’s keep in mind that, in the event Liverpool beat Southampton in the FA Cup, the Premier League fixture against Merseyside rivals Everton would be postponed.

Either way, Klopp already knows he’ll have to go through an important stretch of the campaign without his star goalkeeper. Apart from Alisson, the Reds have a number of injured players right now with Diogo Jota, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dominik Szoboszlai and Curtis Jones all unavailable for selection.
