Now, right at the turn of the year, on January 1, 2024, the Brazilian experienced another special moment, reaching the milestone of 250 games with the club’s shirt, in the 4-2 victory against Newcastle, at Anfield, for the 20th round of the national competition.
The triumph, in fact, left the Reds with 45 points and made the club increase their lead over Aston Villa, second placed, who have 42. Manchester City, with 40, are in third place, but have a game in hand in relation to opponents.
“I arrived at Liverpool more than five years ago and I have always been treated very well by everyone. Since our first days in England, my family and I have felt at home and, now, I had the honor of playing my 250th game wearing this traditional shirt, full of history. It’s a very special feeling and I feel privileged to represent such a successful club. I thank God for capacitating me and giving me the health to practice my profession and I also thank the professionals at the club, who work with us daily so that we can perform our activities at our highest level”, he highlighted.
“This is my sixth season at Liverpool and, during this period, I have experienced several remarkable and unforgettable moments. We won super difficult titles, like the Premier League, which was a championship that the club hadn’t won in years, I received individual awards and managed to help Liverpool in several moments. I even had the opportunity to score a very important goal, in an extremely difficult personal moment for me. Really, they were wonderful and intense years and I remain super motivated to pursue our goals. Our squad is well qualified and we are confident that we can fight for more titles this season”, he added.

“I’m in my sixth Premier League, I’ve already had the privilege of being champion and I know how difficult it is to compete in the tournament. It is no coincidence that many consider English to be the most difficult championship among all national competitions. Yesterday, we played another good game, created a lot of scoring chances and beat Newcastle well, an excellent team. We are in the lead, but the table is well balanced. We have to continue with the same intensity and seriousness to fight for the top positions until the end of the season”, he stated.

In addition to being the goalkeeper with the most Clean Sheets in 2023, Alisson already leads the ranking of matches without being leaked in the 2023/24 Premier League.
